We are looking for a Senior WordPress Developer who specializes in custom theme development and plugin creation. You will work closely with our design and marketing teams to deliver high-performing, scalable, and user-friendly WordPress solutions tailored to our client or product needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop custom WordPress themes from scratch based on design mockups (Figma, XD, PSD, etc.)
- Build, extend, and maintain custom WordPress plugins
- Optimize website performance for speed, SEO, and mobile responsiveness
- Integrate third-party APIs and services into WordPress environments
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues in custom builds
- Maintain clean, well-documented, and reusable code
- Stay updated with the latest WordPress core updates, security practices, and plugin trends
- Collaborate with designers, content managers, and backend developers to bring projects to life
Required Skills & Experience
- 4+ years of hands-on WordPress development experience
- Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- In-depth knowledge of the WordPress Codex, theme hierarchy, and plugin architecture
- Experience developing custom themes
- Experience creating custom plugins and modifying existing ones
- Experience with REST APIs, AJAX, and WordPress Hooks & Filters
- Knowledge of Git version control
- Understanding of website performance optimization, accessibility, and security best practices
